Matteo Ruggeri being targeted for quick Aston Villa exit

Fiorentina are considering a January move for the left-back, who has struggled for minutes at Villa Park since his summer arrival from Atlético Madrid.

Matteo Ruggeri joined Aston Villa from Atlético Madrid in the summer but has featured sparingly, playing just one full 90 minutes in the league. Fiorentina are now eyeing a move for the 24-year-old left-back in January, according to journalist Angelo Giorgetti. The Italian club believe Ruggeri could provide regular game time and backup options at left-back. Reports suggest the player's representatives may have offered him to Fiorentina, creating optimism around a potential deal, though an exit from Villa Park appears premature.
