Marcelo Saracchi 'talking up' Celtic move after definitive call

Celtic have ruled out re-signing Marcelo Saracchi despite the left-back's interest in a permanent return from Houston Dynamo.

Marcelo Saracchi, who impressed during a loan spell at Celtic last season with 27 appearances, expressed a desire to join permanently alongside manager Martin O'Neill. However, Celtic's hierarchy blocked the move in the summer and have now effectively ended their pursuit. The 28-year-old Uruguayan is currently with MLS side Houston Dynamo, and sources indicate the Glasgow club has no plans to revisit the deal in future transfer windows.
