Bayern ready to sign JJ Gabriel after Man United exit with stance on seven-figure salary demand

Bayern Munich enter race for Manchester United teenager JJ Gabriel after holding talks with his family; club unwilling to meet his seven-figure salary demands.

Bayern Munich have reportedly entered negotiations for Manchester United's 16-year-old prospect JJ Gabriel, with head coach Vincent Kompany an admirer. The Bundesliga club held talks with Gabriel's family in May but are unwilling to meet his salary demands of around seven figures. Gabriel, who recently turned 16 and holds an EU passport, is now eligible to move to European clubs. His representatives requested he leave United after the club declined to give him a Champions League debut, though United are refusing to terminate his contract. Barcelona and Real Madrid are also reportedly in the running for his services.
