Rice close to agreeing new Arsenal deal
Summarised by MatchPal
Rice is close to finalizing a new long-term contract with Arsenal, with talks at an advanced stage after his £105m arrival from West Ham in July 2023.
Declan Rice is on the verge of agreeing a new long-term contract with Arsenal, BBC Sport reports. The England midfielder's current deal expires at the end of next season, but negotiations have reached an advanced stage. Rice, 27, has made over 150 starts for the Gunners since his £105m transfer from West Ham in July 2023 and will receive a significant pay increase, bringing his salary closer to that of Bukayo Saka. The announcement follows Mikel Arteta's own four-year contract extension with the club.
