Alfie Harrison signs for Dundee as Steven Pressley lands injury relief after latest double blow

Dundee sign former Newcastle youngster Harrison on short-term deal until January as injuries to Wales and Westley force manager Pressley back into the market.

Dundee have signed attacking midfielder Alfie Harrison on a short-term contract until January with an option to extend. The 20-year-old former Newcastle United prospect impressed during a trial period, including a game against Hearts. Manager Steven Pressley moved to bring Harrison in after strikers Bobby Wales and Joe Westley both suffered ankle injuries — Wales was hurt playing for Scotland under-21s, while Westley was injured in training. Harrison said he felt welcomed at Dens Park and hopes to prove himself over the coming months.
