Bordeaux confirmed for Régional 1, fixture schedule announced

Bordeaux confirmed for Régional 1 (sixth tier) after administrative demotion; season starts October 16 away at Bayonne's reserve side.

Bordeaux has received unanimous approval from the Nouvelle-Aquitaine League directorate to compete in Régional 1, the highest regional level, after being barred from national divisions following administrative relegation. The club, now owned by British fund Park Bench, had its budget validated by the control commission two days prior. The first team will play in Régional 1 while the reserve side competes in Régional 2. The season begins on Friday, October 16 with an away match against Bayonne's reserve team in the fifth round, with the first four rounds postponed.
