Netflix is filming a documentary following Brazil's Marta, a six-time FIFA Best winner, as she prepares for the 2027 Women's World Cup in Brazil, potentially her final tournament with the national team.

Netflix has announced production of a documentary following legendary Brazilian footballer Marta as she prepares for the 2027 FIFA Women's World Cup, which Brazil will host. The 40-year-old six-time FIFA Best winner is considering the tournament as possibly her last appearance for the national team. The film will feature exclusive testimonies and focus on Marta's physical and mental preparation for what could be her farewell with the Canarinha in front of home supporters. Directed by Eliza Capai and produced by Conspiração Filmes, the documentary arrives as the same production company completes a biographical film about Marta starring actress Alice Carvalho, set for release in April.
