Ronald Araujo could block Barcelona teammate from joining Liverpool

Liverpool's pursuit of Jules Kounde could depend on Ronald Araujo's performance on loan at Bournemouth; if the defender impresses, the Reds may not pursue a new right-back.

Ronald Araujo, on loan at Bournemouth from Barcelona, is playing a key role in Liverpool's transfer strategy. The Uruguay international has been filling in at right-back for Andoni Iraola's side during the ongoing season. According to sources, Liverpool's interest in Jules Kounde could hinge on whether Araujo's temporary move becomes permanent and how well he performs. If Araujo continues to impress, Liverpool may decide against signing a new right-back, which would block Bournemouth's pursuit of Kounde.
