It feels like Aberdeen are back to square one and alarming stat shows where it's all going wrong

Aberdeen joint-bottom scorers with seven goals in eight league games; Robinson must unlock attacking potential despite signing proven players.

Aberdeen drew a blank in a home loss to St Johnstone on Sunday, extending their goal-scoring drought. The Dons have managed just seven goals in eight Scottish Premiership fixtures this season, joint-bottom with Kilmarnock and Falkirk. Manager Stephen Robinson has signed attacking players with proven records in the league but says their training-ground quality isn't translating to match days. Captain Kevin Nisbet has 12 goals in 14 games overall but only three in the league, with other attacking players contributing minimally.
