Wellens: We've been too open - and it's my fault

Wellens admits he prioritised attacking patterns over defensive foundations, leading to vulnerability; Orient drew 0-0 at Bradford after drilling pressing and recovery work.

Leyton Orient head coach Richie Wellens has taken responsibility for his side's defensive vulnerabilities this season, acknowledging he focused too heavily on attacking patterns and rotations at the expense of basic defensive principles. After losing four of five games, Wellens worked with the squad on pressing, recovery, and defensive shape last week. The work paid immediate dividends with a goalless draw at second-placed Bradford City on Saturday. Orient sit 12th in League One with just one win in their past five league games.
