Wild eager to build on maiden Hartlepool win

Wild's Hartlepool beat Forest Green 4-2 in his first win, climbing out of the relegation zone after six straight losses.

Pete Wild enjoyed a winning start as Hartlepool United head coach, securing a 4-2 victory at Forest Green Rovers in the National League. The result lifted Pools out of the relegation zone and ended a run of six consecutive league defeats. Wild attributed the attacking performance—four goals after managing only eight in their first twelve games—to a simple tactical instruction to play more positively and shoot more frequently. Nathan Sheron scored twice, including a 30-yard strike that sealed the win after Forest Green had pulled back to 3-2.
