MacAnthony denies Posh made illegal approach for Savage

MacAnthony denies Forest Green's claim that Peterborough made an illegal approach for Savage before his October appointment.

Peterborough United chairman Darragh MacAnthony has rejected Forest Green Rovers owner Dale Vince's allegation that Posh made an illegal managerial approach. Vince claimed he initially refused permission for Peterborough to speak to manager Robbie Savage, but Posh contacted Savage directly anyway before appointing him on 2 October. MacAnthony countered on X that the appointment process was "100% correct and proper, following all the rules". Vince also criticized how Peterborough handled negotiations, saying Savage was left in a difficult position.
