Rangers 'doing everything' to block Olwethu Makhanya joining Premier League club

Rangers determined to resist Premier League interest in 22-year-old centre-back Makhanya, who signed a four-year deal in summer.

Rangers have made clear they will block any attempt by Premier League clubs to sign centre-back Olwethu Makhanya. The 22-year-old has impressed since his £3m arrival from Philadelphia Union and is under contract until 2030 with an optional extra year. Manager Derek McInnes and the club are committed to keeping him at Ibrox despite scouts from top English clubs monitoring his progress. Rangers have already stated they will not entertain offers in January.
