Croatian police are investigating antisemitic Nazi chants by Hajduk Split fans before their Conference League match against Ajax on Thursday.

Croatian police launched an investigation into antisemitic chanting by Hajduk Split supporters before the club's Conference League match against Ajax on Thursday. Footage showed fans chanting about Auschwitz and Adolf Hitler outside the stadium, with a supporters' march featuring a coffin marked "Ajax" on a car roof. Ajax is historically associated with the Jewish community. Croatia's ombudswoman and government condemned the incident as hateful and intolerant. Police made arrests and identified further individuals. Hajduk won the match 2-1 but play was halted for 10 minutes due to fireworks.
