'Talented' Dobra must do basics better - Wellens

Wellens praised Dobra's talent but says the summer signing from Chesterfield must improve his fundamentals to earn more playing time.

Leyton Orient manager Richie Wellens has backed striker Armando Dobra to make an impact despite concerns over his basic play. Dobra, signed from Chesterfield in the summer after scoring 30 goals in 144 league appearances, has featured mainly as a second-half substitute in League One this season after starting the first two matches. Wellens acknowledged Dobra's technical ability and creativity but stressed he needs to improve the basics to get more minutes. The O's have won their last two games, keeping clean sheets, and sit ninth in League One ahead of Wednesday's trip to Reading.
