Sutalo shining at Lazio: loaned in summer, now Gattuso's standout defender

Sutalo arrived on loan from Ajax this summer; Lazio must decide whether to trigger a €14m buyout clause by June.

Sutalo joined Lazio on loan from Ajax in summer 2024 after the Dutch club sought €14 million for the Croatian defender. The 25-year-old has impressed under Gattuso, forming a strong partnership with Provstgaard at centre-back. Lazio must decide by June whether to exercise the buyout option, one of several planned summer signings the club needs to fund after a tight transfer window.
