Alaba, seen and not seen

Right calf strain expected to sideline the Austrian defender until November's international break.

David Alaba suffered a right calf strain during his early stint at Udinese and will miss approximately four Serie A matches, according to the club's announcement on Tuesday. The Austrian defender, who joined on a free transfer from Real Madrid in the summer, has played just 63 minutes across two appearances. Rehabilitation has begun with weekly evaluations; he is targeting a return either against Venezia on November 6 or after the international window on November 22 against Bologna.
