Dele Alli offered shock return at EFL club as star goes a year out of football

Ex-Tottenham midfielder Alli, out of football since September 2025, was offered a chance by former MK Dons manager Robinson at League Two Salford.

Dele Alli remains without a club after his Como contract was terminated in September 2025, with his last competitive appearance coming in March when he was sent off nine minutes into his debut. The 30-year-old has been training with various sides including Barnet and Windsor & Eton but has not secured a move. His former manager at MK Dons, Robinson, revealed he offered Alli an opportunity at League Two Salford, where Robinson was in charge until earlier this summer, saying Alli would always be welcome if he wanted to join him.
