Brennan urges Barnet board to bolster squad

Barnet manager Dean Brennan has called for the board to strengthen the squad after a 3-1 home defeat to Swindon ended their 18-match unbeaten run.

Barnet boss Dean Brennan has urged the club's board to bolster the squad if they are to sustain an automatic promotion challenge from League Two. Speaking after a 3-1 home defeat by Swindon Town on Tuesday, Brennan highlighted the lack of squad depth, noting they could only name five of seven permitted substitutes and have limited options on the bench. With Barnet sitting second in the table but now facing questions about their promotion credentials after their 18-match unbeaten league run ended, Brennan stressed the need for more investment, saying they are among the smallest clubs in the division.
