Jim Goodwin reveals Dundee Utd star at centre of international tug of war as Scotland make their move

Scotland U21s boss Tony Docherty has approached Dundee United loanee Daniel Bennie to switch international allegiance from Australia.

Scotland's U21 manager Tony Docherty has made contact with Dundee United loanee Daniel Bennie to explore switching his international allegiance from Australia. The 20-year-old winger, on loan from Queens Park Rangers, has previously represented Australia at U17 and U20 level but has Scottish family connections. Dundee United boss Jim Goodwin confirmed the approach and noted that Bennie is in a strong position to choose between both nations, with Australia's Olympic-bound U23 squad potentially a factor in his decision.
