Allegri: "We're fragile at the back. De Bruyne will enjoy playing as a playmaker"

Allegri praised De Bruyne's playmaking display in Napoli's 4-3 Champions League win over Bodø/Glimt but warned the defence is vulnerable in deep blocks.

Napoli manager Massimiliano Allegri commented on his side's 4-3 Champions League victory over Bodø/Glimt, expressing satisfaction with the result while identifying defensive frailties. He highlighted that too many balls reach the penalty area when Napoli sit deep, an issue he says requires work on interceptions and passing trajectories. Allegri praised Kevin De Bruyne's performance in the playmaking role, noting the midfielder will enjoy operating in that position, and explained the choice also allowed him to rest Stanislav Lobotka. He also noted that Scott McTominay scored twice but is not yet at full sharpness following his recent arrival.
