Cleverley apologises for 'unacceptable' Argyle loss

Plymouth slipped to fifth after a 3-0 League One loss at Stevenage, their second consecutive defeat.

Plymouth Argyle manager Tom Cleverley apologised for an "unacceptable" performance in Tuesday's 3-0 League One defeat at Stevenage. The Pilgrims conceded twice in eight minutes during the first half before Stevenage added a third late on. The loss followed a 2-0 home defeat to Huddersfield Town and saw Plymouth drop from top to fifth in the table. Cleverley demanded a reaction from his players, saying they failed to compete and win duels.
