A leader in Real Zaragoza's defence

Diego González has become Real Zaragoza's defensive leader and standout centre-back this season, filling a long-standing void in the club's backline.

Real Zaragoza has found a commanding defensive leader in Diego González, a centre-back who has become the team's reference point at the back. The Castellón-born defender guides the defence with aggression and dominance in duels, having established himself as one of the most authoritative centre-backs in the division. Paired with Rubén Iranzo, González forms a formidable defensive partnership that has restored solidity to Zaragoza's backline after a concerning performance against Atlético Madrid.
