Wednesday can't keep playing this poorly

BBC Radio Sheffield's Rob Staton criticises Sheffield Wednesday's inconsistent performances despite being in contention for promotion, citing unconvincing displays and fan frustration.

Sheffield Wednesday sit within touching distance of the League One top spots but continue to deliver mixed performances that have frustrated fans and manager Henrik Pedersen alike. After a poor first half at Notts County, Pedersen acknowledged the basics were not there—a concerning admission ten games into the season. While Wednesday showed quality in wins over Weaker opponents like Wimbledon and Bromley, they have been ineffective and second-best in matches against stronger sides including Huddersfield, Salford, Stockport and Wigan. Fan discontent is growing, with some calling for the manager's departure.
