Trent Alexander-Arnold tipped for Liverpool return as Bayern possibility emerges

Former Liverpool striker Collymore believes Alexander-Arnold could be welcomed back to Anfield despite his controversial departure, as the defender struggles for playing time under Mourinho at Real Madrid.

Trent Alexander-Arnold has found minutes hard to come by at Real Madrid this season under Jose Mourinho, competing with Denzel Dumfries and Federico Valverde for a place. The defender left Liverpool at the end of 2024/25 after letting his contract run down, departing in controversial circumstances that drew criticism from supporters. Former Reds striker Stan Collymore has suggested that despite the acrimonious exit, Liverpool fans' fickleness could see Alexander-Arnold eventually welcomed back to Anfield if a return were to materialise.
