Summarised by MatchPal
Ronaldo leads an unofficial fan poll for greatest Ballon d'Or of all time, but controversy erupts as some supporters attempt to buy votes for a non-official award.
Cristiano Ronaldo's 2008 Ballon d'Or is leading an unofficial public poll on ballondor.com to determine the greatest Ballon d'Or winner of all time. The initiative sparked controversy when some CR7 fans attempted to purchase votes, apparently believing it was an official award. The Ballon d'Or organization clarified on its website that this is a fan celebration poll, not an official trophy, and serves as a promotional draw for tickets to the 2027 Ballon d'Or ceremony. Voting closes on October 27.
