Marco Asensio has undergone arthroscopy to treat cartilage damage in his left knee, Fenerbahçe confirmed. The Spanish international is expected to require approximately three months of treatment and rehabilitation. Asensio had already missed the club's last three matches before the procedure and has managed only three league appearances this season, scoring twice, after a prolific 2025–26 campaign in Turkey.
