Insider shares Dejan Kulusevski update that could kill Tottenham 'excitement': 'The reality is…'

Kulusevski made his first competitive appearance since May after 18 months out with a knee injury; expert warns six months needed before he's fully match-fit.

Dejan Kulusevski returned to action for Tottenham in Monday's win over Coventry, his first competitive minutes since May 2025 following a serious knee injury that sidelined him for almost 18 months. Former Everton CEO Keith Wyness cautioned that despite the positive return, the Swedish midfielder will need another six months before he can be truly relied upon by manager Roberto De Zerbi. Wyness warned against building expectations around Kulusevski's comeback, emphasizing the player faces a long recovery process to regain his pre-injury form.
