I was in Italy and this is what sources said about Scott McTominay's move to Aston Villa

McTominay's time at Napoli is winding down; sources suggest a Premier League return to Aston Villa or Manchester United is likely in January or summer.

Former Aston Villa chief executive Keith Wyness, speaking after checking with Serie A sources last weekend, reports growing sentiment that Scott McTominay's spell at Napoli is drawing to a close. The 29-year-old Scottish midfielder, contracted until summer 2028, is increasingly keen to return to the UK. Aston Villa are considered better-placed than Manchester United to secure a deal, with sources suggesting a move could happen in January or next summer. Napoli may be willing to offload him despite his 14 goals last season.
