Sadiq takes a step towards his return

Nigerian striker Sadiq trained with Valencia's group for the first time since suffering a right hamstring injury on 30 September; expected to return late this month.

Umar Sadiq completed the first part of Valencia's training session with the squad on Thursday, marking his first group involvement since tearing his right hamstring against Deportivo on 30 September. The Nigerian forward then continued individual work on the pitch at the club's training facility. Manager Javier Aguirre expects Sadiq to return to action by the end of the month, though his progress will determine the next steps in his recovery.
