Gio Garbelini, Atlético Madrid's Brazilian-born forward, has chosen to represent Brazil at senior level despite growing up in the US and Spain. Sampedro, now Atlético's assistant coach, was Gio's first coach in the club's youth academy. Gio is focused on helping Atlético secure Champions League qualification.
