Edu becomes Northampton advisor after Forest exit

Edu, former Forest global head of football, will advise Northampton's new Brazilian-led ownership on sporting matters.

Edu, who departed Nottingham Forest in September after serving as global head of football, has been appointed senior advisor to Northampton Town following the League Two club's takeover by a Brazilian consortium led by former AC Milan and Chelsea forward Alexandre Pato. Edu will help navigate sporting questions on an ad-hoc basis rather than day-to-day involvement. The appointment comes as Edu also serves on the board of Bulgarian club Levski Sofia, which shares ownership links with Northampton through investment firm Gemcorp Capital.
