Is signing Zinchenko justified? 'Ajax has other priorities'

Zinchenko returned to Ajax training this week after knee injury, but analyst Goodijk doubts the club will offer him a new deal.

Oleksandr Zinchenko, the former Arsenal left-back, returned to Ajax training this week following a serious knee injury sustained in February during a match against Fortuna Sittard. Zinchenko had made only 20 minutes of appearances for Ajax before the injury. Club analyst Lentin Goodijk believes Ajax has other priorities and is unlikely to offer Zinchenko a new contract.
