"Buy him in a heartbeat" – Wolves transfer decision looks imminent, encouraged by all

Ajax have a €20m option to buy Arokodare permanently; Dutch media expects them to exercise it after his strong form on loan from Wolves.

Tolu Arokodare has impressed at Ajax on loan from Wolves, scoring nine goals and three assists in 14 games across all competitions. The striker's reputation, damaged by his acrimonious departure from Wolves in the summer, has been rehabilitated through both his performances and positive conduct off the pitch.

Ajax hold a €20m purchase option as part of the loan deal. Dutch journalists covering the club believe Ajax will activate it. Willem van Hanegem told Algemeen Dagblad he would "buy him in a heartbeat," praising Arokodare's work rate and leadership. Mike Verweij suggested on De Telegraaf's Kick Off Podcast that Ajax may need to increase the striker's salary to secure a permanent move, but that Cruijff should "go all-in" to complete the signing given Arokodare's status as a fan favourite.
