Ballon d'Or, live rankings

The 70th Ballon d'Or ceremony takes place in London tonight; rankings are being revealed live, with Mané and Saliba tied at 29th.

The 70th Ballon d'Or ceremony is being held in London on October 26 at the Palladium Theatre, celebrating the award's 70-year history and honouring Sir Stanley Matthews, its first winner. The organisers are revealing the final rankings live throughout the day, starting from 29th place where Sadio Mané and William Saliba are tied. Lautaro Martinez, Inter's captain and sole Serie A representative among the 30 finalists, finished 22nd after scoring 17 league goals to win the Capocannoniere award and help Inter claim the Serie A title and Coppa Italia. The rankings will be unveiled one by one leading up to the evening ceremony, with speculation about whether Lamine Yamal could become the youngest Ballon d'Or winner in history.
