Bury the hatchet: Ronaldo in Portugal squad

Ronaldo included in Portugal's squad for November friendlies against Denmark and Wales after serving a 30-day suspension.

Cristiano Ronaldo will continue his international career after being named in Portugal's preliminary squad for November matches by coach Jorge Jesus. The 41-year-old Al-Nassr forward caused controversy last month by walking out on the national team, resulting in a 30-day suspension starting 30 September. However, Portugal's next fixtures are not until 14 and 17 November against Denmark and Wales respectively, meaning Ronaldo will have completed his ban by then. The Portuguese Football Federation also fined Ronaldo €255, a sum he earns in roughly 30 seconds according to his reported annual salary of €267 million.
