Sources: Luka Vuskovic to Liverpool update amid 'huge' reveal

Brighton have no plans to sell Vuskovic to Liverpool; the 19-year-old centre-back signed a five-year deal in summer and is a key player for Hurzeler's side.

Brighton have made clear they will not sell Luka Vuskovic to Liverpool and are not entertaining any interest in the 19-year-old centre-back, sources have told Football Insider. Vuskovic joined Brighton for a club-record £46 million from Tottenham in the summer and has made an immediate impact, starting all eight of the club's Premier League matches so far this season and missing just 12 minutes of action.

The Croatian international starred at the World Cup and has become a key part of Fabian Hurzeler's side. He signed a five-year contract at the Amex Stadium with an option to extend for an additional season. While Liverpool are among several top clubs monitoring his progress—alongside Real Madrid—Brighton are determined to keep hold of him as he continues to develop.

Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola is keen to strengthen his centre-back options, particularly with Virgil van Dijk potentially departing, but will have to look elsewhere. The Reds are also pursuing a permanent deal for centre-back Araujo, who arrived on loan from Barcelona in the summer, ahead of their £47 million option to buy him at the end of the season.
