Andoni Iraola press conference - Florian Wirtz and Liverpool injury latest for Chelsea

Iraola previews Chelsea clash; Wirtz ankle injury assessed after Brighton win, Henderson returns to Anfield with Chelsea.

Liverpool head coach Andoni Iraola held a press conference on Wednesday to preview the Carabao Cup fourth-round tie against Chelsea at Anfield. The Reds are in excellent form, having won four consecutive matches after a 2-0 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday.

Iraola faced questions about several injury concerns ahead of the Chelsea match. Florian Wirtz limped off with an ankle injury during Sunday's win but suggested the problem is not serious, saying "I think it should be all right. It's not too bad." Liverpool also have Dominik Szoboszlai, Victor Munoz, Jeremie Frimpong, Giovanni Leoni, Conor Bradley and Hugo Ekitike unavailable or doubtful.

The fixture carries added intrigue with Xabi Alonso, Iraola's childhood friend and a former Liverpool captain, returning to Anfield as Chelsea manager. Jordan Henderson will also return to his former club with Chelsea. The Carabao Cup last-eight draw will take place after the match, with fifth-round ties scheduled for the week of December 14.
