Lamine speaks out on Ballon d'Or: "It will come"

Yamal won Best Talent for the third consecutive year at the Ballon d'Or ceremony and posted on social media: "It will come," vowing to win the main award eventually.

Lamine Yamal collected the Best Talent award at the Ballon d'Or gala at London Palladium for the third year running. Thierry Henry, presenting the ceremony, joked that it wasn't the prize Yamal wanted that night—the Barcelona forward finished third in the main Ballon d'Or voting, which was won by Harry Kane.

Yamal posted on social media after the ceremony: "It will come," written in capitals. "Good things need time, I trust in the path I'm building. Without rush, with hope and the calm knowing that my moment will arrive one day," he wrote. He also congratulated the other winners and refocused on Barcelona's ambitions: "My focus returns to what matters, making FC Barcelona win again."

His Barcelona teammates quickly responded with support. Fermín replied: "It will come, and more than one. Always with you." Ronald Araujo wrote: "Without doubt it will come, mate. Let's go up!! You're the best." Iñigo Martínez added: "There are talents that don't need awards to show what they are," with a crown emoji. Yamal returns to training Wednesday morning ahead of Barcelona's match against Alavés on Saturday.
