Bruno Fernandes set for Man United return after fresh talks with Michael Carrick

Fernandes will return to the side after resolving his dispute with manager Carrick following talks at Carrington on Wednesday.

Bruno Fernandes is set to return to Manchester United's starting lineup after holding clear-the-air talks with manager Michael Carrick. The captain was dropped to the bench for last weekend's 3-0 home defeat to Bournemouth after criticising Carrick's tactics following United's Champions League loss to Como. Carrick explained the decision was for "pure football" reasons, but the pair have now resolved their differences ahead of training on Wednesday. Fernandes is in line to feature in United's trip to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, October 31, with kick-off at 12:30pm. United remain winless in eight matches across all competitions and sit 16th in the Premier League, only a point above the bottom three. Fernandes has struggled for form this season with just one league goal and one assist in seven appearances, a significant drop from his nine goals and 22 assists last term.
