Bayern and Dortmund meet at the Allianz Arena on Matchday 8 level on points, with Gnabry and Kane confident the leaders can extend their advantage.

Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund face off on Saturday in the Bundesliga Klassiker at the Allianz Arena, with both sides level on points at the top of the table. The encounter comes early in the season but could prove decisive in the title race.

Bayern winger Serge Gnabry expressed his eagerness for the fixture, saying: "I'm looking forward to it a lot. The top two teams going against each other. In this period of time it's a very big game, and also a very important one if you look at the table. For sure we want to win, make another statement and continue to be on top."

Strike partner Harry Kane added: "Obviously we're level in points at the moment. Both teams have started the season well. It's always a big game. Especially at the Allianz Arena, we want to put the result in our favour."

Dortmund coach Niko Kovač acknowledged Bayern's strength, saying: "We are very good at the moment, but Bayern are also really good. And you have to over perform to even have a chance of getting past Bayern."
