Toiling Kasper Hogh sent a message from the Celtic dressing room as goal drought continues

Celtic captain McGregor backs record signing Hogh to end 13-game goal drought, citing need for better supply and support from teammates.

Kasper Hogh, Celtic's £11m record signing, has failed to score in 13 consecutive games for the Hoops. The Denmark striker was substituted at half-time during Wednesday's 2-2 draw with Dundee United at Celtic Park, continuing a difficult run since his arrival.

Celtic captain Callum McGregor has publicly backed Hogh to turn things around, insisting the squad will support him through the barren spell. McGregor acknowledged that all strikers experience peaks and troughs, and that sometimes a single goal can spark a turnaround. He emphasized the team's responsibility to protect Hogh and create opportunities in effective areas.

McGregor highlighted that Hogh has had limited time alongside key attacking partners. The striker has spent only 30 minutes on the pitch with Jota, who is returning from an 18-month injury layoff, and just 140 minutes with winger Haissem Hassan across all competitions this season. McGregor expressed optimism that improved supply from these teammates, particularly the returning Portuguese star, will help Hogh rediscover his goalscoring form.
