Liverpool look like a team again and Arsenal won't relish trip to resurgent Anfield

Liverpool have won five straight under Iraola and face Arsenal at Anfield on Sunday in what could be a defining test of their resurgence.

Liverpool's impressive start under Andoni Iraola continued with a penalty shootout victory over Chelsea in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday, extending their winning run to five matches across all competitions. The performance showcased depth and character, with players like Trey Nyoni, Giorgi Mamardashvili and Joe Gomez all impressing, the latter scoring the decisive penalty.

The Reds now face a much sterner challenge when Premier League champions Arsenal visit Anfield on Sunday. Despite Arsenal's status as defending champions, Liverpool's recent form and home atmosphere suggest they have genuine prospects of claiming three points. The fixture represents a significant moment in Iraola's early tenure, with the manager's quiet revolution gathering momentum through consistent performances and tactical flexibility.
