Araujo's agent speaks on his future

Araujo's agent says it's too early to discuss his future at Liverpool, though the club has a €55m purchase option on the loan deal.

Ronald Araujo has impressed since joining Liverpool on loan from Barcelona for the 2024–25 season. The 27-year-old centre-back earned MVP honours after Sunday's match against Brighton, recording a top speed of 36.3 km/h, 13 sprints, and a 100% success rate in five direct duels. His performance has sparked debate at Anfield about whether Liverpool should exercise their €55m purchase option.

Araujo's agent, Edoardo Crnjar, addressed speculation about the defender's future: "Ronald is well with Liverpool, we are very happy, but it is still too early to talk about his future. He feels very good, is happy to play at LFC and happy to help the club and his teammates." Araujo has made 13 appearances for Liverpool across all competitions this season, totalling 872 minutes, with two goals and one assist. He has primarily featured at right-back (eight matches) alongside five appearances as a centre-back.
