What Manchester United's players don't want to happen amid Michael Carrick uncertainty

Tielemans backs Carrick to stay, saying the squad wants stability rather than managerial upheaval after crisis talks this week.

Youri Tielemans has publicly backed Michael Carrick to remain as Manchester United manager, insisting the squad does not want further disruption after a chaotic start to the season.

Carrick faced the sack earlier this week following heavy defeats to Como (4-1) and Bournemouth, prompting crisis talks on Monday. However, United's hierarchy decided to give him a chance to turn things around, though the length of his reprieve remains unclear.

Tielemans, signed by Carrick in the summer after United activated his £35m release clause at Aston Villa, told TNT Sports the group is united behind the manager. "We don't want a big change that is going to disrupt things more than they are," he said. "We just need stability, we need to keep working hard, and it's going to turn at some point." The Belgian midfielder praised Carrick's system and said the squad feels comfortable under his management, adding that everyone in the changing room shares his view.
