Anselmi calls Valencia clash "extremely important" for Elche

Elche manager Anselmi warns that Valencia, despite recent struggles, remain a dangerous opponent and calls the upcoming match crucial for his side's push.

Elche manager Martín Anselmi held a press conference ahead of his side's fixture against Valencia, emphasizing the importance of the match despite Valencia's recent poor form. Anselmi acknowledged that struggling teams often respond with their best performances, noting that Valencia's current position in the lower half of the table contrasts sharply with the club's storied history.

Anselmi praised Valencia's current manager Javier Aguirre, highlighting his experience in handling difficult moments and the solidity he has brought to the team. He described Valencia as a collective of dynamic, experienced international players who are quick in attack and intense when pressing.

For Elche, Anselmi stressed the importance of staying true to their style of play—maintaining possession, staying compact, and moving the ball effectively. He expressed his desire to secure his first home victory at the Martínez Valero stadium and dismissed suggestions that the team suffers from anxiety about winning at home, saying the squad is enjoying the present moment.
