Pedro Porro: Tottenham star makes transfer admission amid Real Madrid and Barcelona interest

Porro says he would love to return to Spain one day but is focused on Tottenham, where he recently signed a new contract.

Pedro Porro has admitted he would "love" to return to Spain someday, though he emphasised his commitment to Tottenham after signing a new deal before the World Cup.

The right-back, who won the World Cup with Spain over the summer, said it would be "unfair" to discuss his future given his current contract. He acknowledged that Real Madrid and Barcelona had been interested in him previously but stressed his happiness at Spurs. "The club gave me the option to renew before the World Cup without knowing what was going to happen. It was a very nice gesture," Porro told El Larguero. "They've given me a good contract, although if I had waited until after the World Cup, I would have gotten more."

Porro returned to action recently after a hamstring injury and is in contention for Spurs' match against Crystal Palace this weekend.
