Oyarzabal receives Gipuzkoa Football Federation award for World Cup triumph

Real Sociedad captain Oyarzabal received an award from the Gipuzkoa Football Federation for winning the World Cup with Spain last summer.

The Gipuzkoa Football Federation presented Mikel Oyarzabal with an award on Friday in recognition of his World Cup victory with Spain in the United States last summer. Federation president Manu Díaz and general secretary Iñigo Letamendi visited Real Sociedad's Zubieta training ground to congratulate the club captain and present the honour. The federation highlighted not only Oyarzabal's sporting achievements but also his role in promoting the values of Gipuzkoan football. Martín Zubimendi, a Real Sociedad academy product now at Arsenal, also received the same award for the World Cup triumph, though the presentation could not be made at the same time.
