Man Utd target Barcelona's Lopez - Saturday's gossip

Manchester United target Barcelona midfielder Fermin Lopez; Martinez attracting Barcelona and Atletico Madrid interest; Arsenal eye Club Brugge's Tresoldi.

Manchester United are interested in Barcelona's 23-year-old Spain midfielder Fermin Lopez as they look to bolster their attack in January. Defender Lisandro Martinez is set to leave at the end of the season, with Barcelona and Atletico Madrid keen on the 28-year-old Argentina international.

Arsenal have no concerns about paying a big fee for Club Brugge's German striker Nicolo Tresoldi, rated at £42m, with the 22-year-old's value expected to increase next summer. Manchester United's interest is also growing in Fulham's 26-year-old Nigeria defender Calvin Bassey, and the club will target a new left-back and striker in the January window.
