Liverpool latest: Ronald Araujo's agent speaks out as club legend performs big U-turn

Carragher reverses his doubts about Iraola after Liverpool's five-game winning streak; Araujo's agent says it's too early to discuss a permanent deal but the defender is happy at Anfield.

Liverpool have turned their season around dramatically following a 3-0 defeat to Manchester City, stringing together five consecutive victories across all competitions and scoring 15 goals in the process. They knocked Chelsea out of the Carabao Cup on penalties to reach the quarter-finals, and now face Arsenal on Sunday in a crucial test of their title credentials.

Jamie Carragher, the former Liverpool defender, has revised his initial scepticism about manager Andoni Iraola. At the start of the season, Carragher questioned whether Iraola had the pedigree for the role, given his lack of trophy wins and European experience. However, he now views Liverpool as genuine contenders to challenge Arsenal for the Premier League title, citing the Manchester City guilty verdict as a factor that has opened the door for the chasing pack.

Meanwhile, Ronald Araujo's agent Edoardo Crnjar has played down talk of a permanent transfer from Barcelona, saying it is "too early" to discuss the defender's future beyond his current season-long loan. However, Crnjar stressed that Araujo is performing well and is happy at Liverpool, having started 11 of the club's opening 13 fixtures.
